To assist county [non-profit] tourism oriented groups and organizations, the ACCVB has allocated a portion of its collected transient lodging tax monies for a competitive community promotions program.

These funds will be awarded on a COMPETITIVE basis to local non-profit organization, which sponsor special events or conferences or to non-profit visitor tourism attractions. The Community Promotions Program awards are presented by the ACCVB on the conditions outlined in the program applications.

What is the Ashtabula County Convention & Visitors Bureau?    We are an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting tourism into Ashtabula County. We represent more than 350 members, are governed by an Executive Commitee of 14 individual representing various areas of the county. Funding is generated through a 5% transient lodging tax collected by all lodging facilities in the county, which is adminstered by the Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners.

Where is the Ashtabula County Convention & Visitors Bureau's office and what are the hours?    Located just off I-90 at the State Route 45 exit. Turn north onto SR 45 to the first light, turn east onto Austinburg Road. We're the first drive on the south side.

Open Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Saturdays & Sundays: Memorial - Labor Day 9am-Noon

A box with Visitors Guides and Covered Bridge maps is located outside our front door in case you pass through after business hours!

Why visit Ashtabula County?    We have 17 covered bridges and now the longest covered bridge in the United States which spans 613 feet long and sits 93 feet above the Ashtabula River, 15 wineries, 2 lakes offering boating, fishing, birding activities, the Greenway Rails-to-trails offering hiking, Bicycling, rollerblading, cross-country skiing and the only one in the United States to offer snowmobiling. The oldest summer resort in the state and the oldest miniature golf course in continuous operation in the US at Geneva-on-the-Lake. We have more campsites in the county than anywhere else in Ohio, tallying in around 3,000 sites. Terrific museums including Underground Railroad, Trains, Maritime, Perambulators, Presidents and religion. And now we ask you - Why not visit Ashtabula County?!
